Workers´ Health Program: A Healthy Company – Health Diagnosis
Objective: to carry out a thorough health diagnosis for employees in all Frialto units, revealing the percentages of chronic, non-transmissible diseases, risk factors and the need for dental treatment in each of the company´s plants.
This will allow suitable steps to be taken to avoid more serious problems in future. The program also allows workers to be categorized according to their risk of chronic diseases so that actions can be prioritized towards the groups most at risk.

Women´s Cervical Cancer Prevention Program
Objective: to prevent cervical cancer and carry out early diagnosis of this disease and indicate suitable treatment for each case.
Annual tests are carried out among Frialto´s female employees by specialized physicians and nurses. The team also gives lectures to clarify women´s main uncertainties about the issue. The company provides all the material that is necessary for the tests.

Prostate Cancer Awareness-Raising Program
Objective: to prevent prostate cancer and carry out early diagnosis of this disease and indicate suitable treatment for each case.
Specialized physicians and male nurses give a series of lectures on the topic to clarify the major queries of Frialto employees. The company provides a plan allowing the tests to be carried out at hospitals and clinics in the region as a benefit to its employees.

Up-To-Date Vaccines Program
Objective: to prevent transmissible diseases and make sure all the company´s employees are up to date with their vaccines.
Vaccination records are checked twice a year by workplace health and safety nurses in each unit. -
SIPAT – In-house Accident Prevention Week (Semana Interna de Prevenção de Acidentes)
Objective: to instruct workers as to how to prevent workplace accidents.
The SESMT team (Workplace Safety Experts, Nurses and Physiotherapists) will give lectures during this week on how to prevent incidents in each area of Frialto. -
Nutrition Program
Objective: to improve employees´ eating habits and reduce rates of obesity and cardiovascular problems in the company.
Nutritionists monitor what employees eat on a daily basis, preparing meals within a specific diet that is suitable to the calorie intake necessary for each job, on both shifts. The team also gives talks on food education. -
Workplace Exercise Program
Objective: to prevent RSIs (repeated stress injuries) and OOSs (occupational overuse syndromes).
Three times daily (before, during and after production) a professional specializing in such exercises leads a ten-minute session of occupational ergometric exercises for all Frialto employees. The program has seen excellent results, reducing time lost because of wrong posture. -
Induction Program for New Employees
Objective: to show new employees the most important aspects of the company.
A professional from each area of the company makes a brief presentation and addresses correct behavior such as arrival, departure and lunch times, explaining the in-house Workplace Safety regulations, washing techniques, and so on. All hired employees have to take this induction program in order to integrate them into the organizational context. -
First Aid Training
Objective: to prepare employees to give first aid to potential accident victims.

Each region´s Fire Brigade teaches CIPA (In-house Accident-Prevention Campaign) team members annually so as to prepare employees to give first aid in any emergency.
